WordPOP was disappointing. The pictures of the animals are unclear for someone that was trying to learn. And it had an obvious bug where if you hit left or right on the arrow keys right after shooting a block (before the next block appears) the next block never appears.
Also it was very short once I figured out what that bug was so I could actually finish it.
Lastly such a simple game could've been written in JavaScript/HTML/CSS and work on smartphones.
Eric, thanks for the feedback, again this was all done over one weekend so we have to work through all the bugs. The goal is to add in some music and also announce the words as the blocks smash together. The animal sounds were for demo purposes only.
Nice and simple. For a weekend effort it is amazing. One suggestion is add the line 'match the word to the picture' also to the main screen help, as when i started playing it i tried matching same word blocks and picture blocks before realising that is not the intent.
This great game for kids. I found some error, after play 2 keystroke there's hang. I can't going forward need to refresh the game again. Need some fixing. But it's really cool idea to teach english.
